WHAT IS MUN?
Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the United Nations where participants, known as delegates, represent countries or organizations in debates about global issues. They discuss, negotiate, and draft resolutions to address pressing challenges, all while adhering to their assigned country's policies. MUN helps participants develop skills like public speaking, diplomacy, and critical thinking, while fostering a deeper understanding of international relations. It’s both an educational and empowering experience.
Letter from
Secretary General
Distinguished Delegates and Participants of MSKMUN’26,
It is with great excitement and honor that I welcome you all to MSKMUN’26, our interactive and hands-on Model United Nations conference.
As the Secretary-General of MSKMUN’26, I, Leyal KadıoÄŸlu, am beyond thrilled to lead this journey where both first-time and experienced delegates will strengthen their skills, build confidence, and gain a deeper understanding of diplomacy and global affairs.
Our goal is to create an open, energetic, and collaborative environment where everyone can learn by doing — through engaging debates, meaningful discussions, and unforgettable experiences. Throughout the conference, you’ll have the chance to improve your public speaking, master the rules of procedure, learn how to draft resolutions, and most importantly, think like true diplomats.
Together with my incredible team, we’ve worked hard to make MSKMUN’26 a place where you can challenge yourself, meet new people, and grow as both a delegate and a leader. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, share your ideas, and push yourself out of your comfort zone — because that’s exactly how you’ll get the most out of this experience.
Once again, welcome to MSKMUN’26. We can’t wait to meet you all, learn together, and create something truly unforgettable.
With warm regards,
Leyal Kadıoğlu
Secretary-General, MSKMUN’26
